We have Live Online classes (that's classes completely on-line in a virtual classroom) and
blended classes (that's virtual lectures with in-person training).
Zoom login instructions and session link will be provided via email 1 – 2 business days prior to your first class. Please ensure our registration system has your current email address.
In order to participate in this live online class you will need:
• Access to a computer/device with speakers and camera.
• Access to high-speed internet.

These classes are included in the HCA program. They can also be taken as stand-alone classes. Students should register at least two weeks before class to have time to receive books. Testing is done at the end of class.
On-demand (study at your own speed) with proctored testing or instructor guided class with proctored testing.
Register early to get you book before class. Printable student workbooks are available on line. They may also be mailed or picked up at the training center. Videos are available on this web site and may be viewed any time. The student should read the books before class.
Attendee will need to be visible on camera for testing. Testing is done at the end of class.
In blended learning classes, lecture is conducted in a virtual classroom or on-line. Students sign on from their home computers. In the virtual classroom classes are taught with by an instructor at specific times .
These classes have an in-person component. Students attend skill practice labs in our Port Orchard training center.
Students must wear masks when in skill labs.
Students meet over 4-5 weeks via virtual classrooms. Skill practice labs are in-person with small groups for social distancing . Due to the COVID state of emergency, clinical is being replaced with on-the-job experience. Students may register after attending an Informational Meeting. Registrations should be received at least two weeks before class.
Students meet over 5-6 weeks via virtual classrooms. Skill practice labs are in-person with small groups. The course includes Dementia, Mental Health, Orientation and Safety, Infection Control (HIV-AIDS and Covid-19). Nurse Delegation and Special Focus on Diabetes can taken as add on classes. Students may register after attending an Informational Meeting. Registrations should be received at least two weeks before class.
The students completes on-line CPR, then comes to the training center for skill practice and first aid. Skill practice is done with small groups for social distancing. Upon successful completion the students receives a 2 year CPR-AED-First Aid certificate
This version is entirely on-line. Upon successful completion student receives a conditional one year CPR certificate. To earn a 2 year certificate, students much attend an in-person component after completion of this on-line class
Videos are available on our web site. The student completes a written test on-line. Upon successful completion, the student receives a certificate for 7 hours of Infection Control Training.
Do you need to have the Covid-19 vaccine? The short answer is yes.
Proclamation 21-14, issued by Governor Inslee on August 9, 2021, requires health care providers, defined broadly to include not only licensed health care providers but also all employees, contractors, and volunteers who work in a health care setting, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As a licensed, long term care worker you need to be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines.
Masks are required in the skills lab.
